Game Ecosystem

Game X Change ecosystem and emissions

The purpose of the Game X Change ecosystem is to act like a self-running organism, having the ability to adjust both upwards and downwards in order to maintain a healthy supply and emission of tokens to its users and developers. Like many things in a video game, the Game X Change ecosystem follows the same principles and "buffing" and "nerfing". For those who may not be familar with the concept, Buffing or to Buff (video gaming), [means] a change to a weapon or ability that deems it more viable for game balance. Buff (MMORPGs), a temporary beneficial status effect. And nerfing, verb (used with object) (lowercase)Slang. (in a video game) to reconfigure (an existing character or weapon), making it less powerful: "The game development team nerfed several guns in the recent update". These are concepts familiar to gamers and Game X Change is no different.

Emissions

Emissions rates within Game X Change are based on a variety of factors. Each game has an individual pool and criteria that determine its AGY (Annual Gaming Yield). This yield varies day by day and is not static. The AGY may go up and down based on a series of below factors:

  • Total supply of tokens remaining for Play to Earn

  • Total supply of tokens reserved for the specific game pool

  • Total users within the pool

  • NFTs/NFPs sold within that pool

  • Tokens emitted during last cycle payout

Using the criteria above, the Game X Change system calculates the tokens used for emissions and adjusts accordingly.
